History

The province was canonically established on 21st June, 1992   At present the headquarters are at Bangalore, Karnataka, India.

It was the year 1992. The Elective Provincial Chapter of the Province of Our Lady of the Mount marked the beginning of a new phase in the Congregational history in India. A new Province branched out assuming the name - Province of the Immaculate Hospitaller, with its seat at Lar de Santa Clara, Margão, Goa, on 21st January, 1992. The birth of this Province, a new shoot on the flourishing tree of our Congregation and a sigh of vitality, led to a greater expansion of Our Congregational family in the East. The Province began with 16 Fraternities and 137 members. Under the providential glance of God the Province continues to grow and produce good fruit in abundance.

Significant dates  21st January, 1992 - Beginning of the Province  21st June, 1992 - Canonical erection of the Province.  25th March, 1995 - Inauguration of the Provincialate in Bangalore
